The Sexton Companies is a locally owned, family-owned, and women-owned apartment company based in Indianapolis, in business since 1962, with communities that are owner-built and professionally managed.
The portfolio includes a mix of established and newly constructed apartment homes, offering both long-standing community stability and modern living options.
Communities include one-, two-, and select three-bedroom apartment homes, as well as two- and three-bedroom townhomes at select properties. Most communities offer on-site parking, including carports and garages, along with amenities such as swimming pools.
Many Sexton communities are conveniently located near Interstate 465, near major hospitals and medical centers, and in some cases near downtown Indianapolis with access to restaurants, entertainment, and cultural destinations.
The Sexton Companies focuses on responsive maintenance, streamlined leasing, and a service-driven resident experience grounded in long-term ownership and hands-on management.

The Sexton Companies’ long history as a builder and developer began in 1962 when the Sexton Companies built Fisher Apartments in Speedway, Indiana and rented every apartment in the first weekend of business! Since then, thousands of apartment homes have been built in numerous communities from central Ohio and Indiana to Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas.

The Sexton Companies are also responsible for developing two of the largest apartment communities built in Indiana at approximately fourteen hundred apartments each. Our focus has always been to build timeless, well-crafted and designed apartment homes that will transcend building trends in the decades to come.
